214 Days and Counting

It has been 214 days since I have seen Jessica... 214!!!

As most of you know, she is in China like I mentioned in this post, where I said that she was keeping this fabulous blog.

This is definitely the longest I have gone without seeing her, and she comes home in LESS THAN a WEEK!

Needless to say, I'm incredibly excited, even if I don't get to see her until next Friday (which is 8 days away meaning I will have gone a total of 222 days sans Jessica.)

I love my sisters LOTS.

I don't want this post to be all cliche about how sisters are best friends and blah blah. So I will just say some of my favourite things about being one of 3 sisters.

I like being the oldest. This blog is all about being honest so I thought I would start with the thing that maybe lots of people know about me, but haven't heard me admit. I like being the oldest because I got to teach my sisters things and they would look up to me. Now I look up to them more and more and they teach me things, like patience (yes I'm still working on it ok...shh) and generosity and humbleness. But I like being numero uno, firstborn, "the old married one'. I like taking care of them and protecting them (even though I can't always and even though they rarely need it).

I like always having someone to laugh and talk with, someone who will appreciate my ridiculous stories (that I think are funny but most people wouldn't get.). I like having two sisters who make me laugh just about all.the.time when we are together. Especially when we have impromptu kitchen dancing parties (these happen all too often).

I like that we love to surprise visit each other because we know the others will be SO happy to see us that it will be a great surprise. I LOVE that my besties and sisters orchestrated a surprise visit for my bachelorette, it wouldn't have been the same without them.

And I love that they stood with me to witness me marry the love of my life...

Which is the last time I saw you Jessica so come home now we miss you!

Are you close with your brothers or sisters? What's the longest you've gone without seeing them?
