Nursery Mathematics

I finished another nursery project! It feels kind of like I'm on a roll. Well, not so much "on a roll" as "I finally have some small moments of free time." If you haven't heard already I decided on teal and yellow for the nursery. I love this colour combo (can you tell by looking at my blog?)

I wanted to use the "M" and "J" from our bedroom to good use (You can see them here).

I thought a cute M+J=E would be nice on Eli's wall. When I looked at it with the big ampersand and another large canvas for a "=" it was all just too overwhelming so I decided to buy the following mini canvases:

I used clear "con-tact" paper to cut out the symbols and stuck them to the canvases. Then I painted them with the selected colours. (Several coats!)

I ended up with these!:

On his wall it all looked very cute! I'm not sure what I think of mommy+daddy=me art in general, but I think this is subtle and adds some colour to his walls.

Elias loves looking up at the letters and mobile from his bed.

What do you think? Have you painted anything lately?
