My Favourite Wedding Project

There were lots of projects that I worked on for our wedding that were lots of fun, but my favourite was our table numbers. I looked everywhere for a different and unique idea and I found some great ones, but nothing that I felt really said "Jetty and Melanie". I really liked the idea of using our pictures and putting numbers on them, but it wasn't quite enough.

So I came up with the idea to make it look like we were holding the numbers up.

Here it is in action with our grape and mint candy centrepiece! )With a gerber daisy because they are my favourite!)

We made a different pose for each number and posted them on a big board outside the hall with a couple of pieces of purple ribbon in the background.

We had lots of fun coming up with different poses. My roommate Alli took the pictures of us in front of a brick wall at an elementary school (on the weekend!) and I used PowerPoint to put the numbers in. (I figured it would be faster and easier than photoshop which I don't have at home!)

I haven't seen this idea before in terms of seat numbers, although I'm sure I've seen the idea of "fake'" holding something up before. We used to always get pictures of dad looking like he is holding up funny things like icebergs when we were little.

Jetty kept trying to convince people we brought giant numbers and took pictures with them- I hope some people don't still believe him! - Now you know!
